Goalie Festian Registers Six Saves Against Lawrence Tech

RIVERVIEW, Mich. – The Wolverines and Lawrence Tech had a scoreless tie going Wednesday night (Sept. 29) at Gabriel Richard High until the Blue Devils scored in the 71st minute to break the ice and again four minutes later to earn a 2-0 victory.

The University of Michigan-Dearborn's women's soccer team got six saves from sophomore goalie Amber Festian (Plymouth Salem) before Lawrence Tech (4-4-1, 1-1 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference) got tallies from Jenny Dear and Jaiden Konrad.

Emmi Pinkowski had four of the five shots on goal for the Wolverines, but Blue Devils goalie Sydney Schnurstein made the save each time.

Coach Danielle Toney's UM-Dearborn (1-3, 0-2) team plays Saturday night against Lourdes in Sylvania, Ohio.
