Wolverines Drop Regular Season Finale

DEARBORN, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn (4-11, 0-8) lacrosse team wrapped up their regular season on Saturday (Apr. 22) against Siena Heights (8-4, 6-2). The game marked the Wolverines' Senior Day. Unfortunately, the Wolverines lost the contest 12-6 at Star International Academy. 

 

The Wolverines were held scoreless for the first 29 minutes of the contest. Ryan Savage was able to link up with Joseph Atherall with 1:26 remaining in the second quarter to get the Wolverines on the scoreboard before the break. However, Siena Heights had already built up an insurmountable lead as the team went to the locker down 6-1. 

 

Parker Steindl scored the first goal out of the break as he buried an unassisted goal at the 10:07 mark of the third quarter. Siena Heights would score four unanswered goals to take a 10-2 lead early in the fourth quarter. The Wolverines would respond with three unanswered goals off the stick of Steindl and two off the stick of Mason Loudermilk. Dearborn would score once more when Joseph Atherall and Loudermilk teamed up for the Wolverines' sixth goal of the game. 

 

Loudermilk and Steindl led the Wolverines with two goals a piece in the loss.
