DEARBORN, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn (5-0-0, 3-0-0) men's ice hockey team had their special teams on full display on Friday (Oct. 13). The Wolverines scored four power-play goals, including a perfect 3-3 in the second period. UM-Dearborn tallied eight goals in the contest and kept the puck out of their own net for their fourth shutout in five games.

The Wolverines peppered the Saint's netminder all night as they overpowered the Saints on both ends. UM-Dearborn outshot the Saints 55-22 and played a clean game with only six penalty minutes compared to 33 by the Saints.

After entering the locker room up 2-0, the Wolverines lit the lamp five times in the second period, three of which came on the man advantage after the Saints got called for a five-minute major, resulting in a game misconduct. Five different players scored goals in the period, including a staggering 54-second stretch where the Wolverines buried three goals.

Bailey Byrd earned the game's first star after he tallied four points after scoring two goals and handing out a pair of assists. Joey Cullinan was the game's second star after adding multiple points for the fifth consecutive game. Cullinan's two goals bring him to eight on the season, giving him the team lead. Cullinan was also a staggering 15-20 on faceoffs.

In his first start in the Maize & Blue, Drew Adams (2-0-0) recorded his first career shutout, stopping all 22 chances from the Saints.
