Wolverine Golfer Cueva Wins Aquinas Fall Invitational

WYOMING, Mich. – University of Michigan junior golfer Sofia Cueva won the Aquinas Fall Invitational Wednesday (Sept. 8), and the Wolverines' women's team posted a strong second-place finish behind host Aquinas.

 Cueva, from Livonia Franklin High, carded an 80 on the Kauffman Golf Course.

 Halena Harris, a sophomore from Livonia Churchill, shot an 87 to finish eighth overall.

 The Wolverines shot a 349 to finish one stroke ahead of third-place Cleary University. Aquinas had golfers finish 2-3-4-5 while winning with a 334.

 Coach Howard Inch's team had senior Molly Morey and sophomore Savannah Grabowski both shoot 91 to finish tied for 16th. Freshman Kadie Hayden tied for 35th with a 109.
