Wolverines Throttle Racers on Community Heroes Night

DEARBORN, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's basketball team saw three different players with 20 or more points on Wednesday (Feb. 21) against the University of Northwestern Ohio Racers. The Wolverines were lights out shooting en route to a 100-88 victory on Community Heroes Night at The Fieldhouse. 

Troy Campbell led the Wolverines with countless clutch shots and scored a career-high 29 points. Campbell was 9-of-14 from the floor and 3-of-5 from behind the arc. Campbell had a game-high seven assists to accompany three steals. Collin Miller scored 25 points and hauled in nine rebounds. Miller shot the ball at a 44% clip from three, connecting on 4-of-9 attempts. Miller was a catalyst behind numerous Wolverine runs with his hot shooting and scrappy defense. Reynolds rounded out the Wolverines leaders with 23 points on 9-of-16 shooting, improving his season average to 17.3 ppg.

Despite there being four lead changes, the Wolverines controlled the majority of the game. At one time, the Wolverines' Largest lead was 23 points early in the second half. UM-Dearborn made 11 three-pointers shooting at a 42.3% clip, compared to 17.2% for the Racers. The two teams finished deadlocked in the rebounding battle with 42 a piece. Each team turned the ball over 14 times, with the Racers outscoring the Wolverines 17-12 in Points off Turnovers.

The Wolverines are back in action on Saturday (Feb. 25) against the Siena Heights Saints. Tip-off is set for 3pm.
