Williams Hits Four Long Balls, Wolverines Honor Nine Seniors

DEARBORN, Mich. -- The University of Michigan-Dearborn baseball team's season ended on Sunday (Apr. 28) as they took on the Lourdes Gray Wolves in their final WHAC series of the season. Despite losing four games, Matthew Williams set the single-game record for home runs as he blasted three long balls against the Gray Wolves on Saturday. Williams went 3-4 with three home runs and six RBIs on Saturday and added a fourth on Sunday after being honored in the senior festivities. 

With his four long balls on the weekend, Williams regained the team lead in home runs with nine. The nine home runs mark a new career-high for Williams, whose previous record was three back in 2022-23. Max McLennan was phenomenal in his final weekend in the Maize & Blue as he tagged nine base hits in 15 plate appearances. McLennan recorded three doubles and two RBIs. McLennan led the Wolverines in hits, average, and OBP.

UM-Dearborn finished their season with a 4-40 record and 2-30 in WHAC play.
