ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn (2-3-0) women's ice hockey team made a weekend road trip south to play a trio of games against two teams featured in the 2023 ACHA National Tournament. On Friday, the Wolverines squared off against Mckendree University, the eighth seed in the last season's tournament. The Wolverines also would play two games against Maryville University, the ninth seed in the tournament.

On Friday night, the Wolverines played the Bearcats close for most of the game. The contest was 2-1 deep into the third period. Senior netminder Victoria Hahn got the start in net and was dynamite all evening, stopping 21 shots on the night. The game got away from the Wolverines in the final 10 minutes as the Bearcats scored twice to make it a 4-1 final. Kaylee Keledjian scored the lone goal for the Wolverines, and Madison Schroeder and Samantha Sensoli handed out assists on the goal.

On Saturday and Sunday, the Wolverines took on Maryville. UM-Dearborn could not find the back of the net as the Saints shut out the Wolverines in a 2-0 victory. Kenna Borso got her second start of the season, stopping 30 shots on the night.

In the final game on Sunday, the Wolverines again found themselves in the same scenario as Friday, trailing 2-1 late in the second period. A similar outcome happened: Maryville scored two unanswered goals to end the second period and take a 4-1 victory.
