ADRIAN, Mich. -- Gavin Hampton of the University of Michigan-Dearborn baseball team etched his name into the Wolverine record books after hitting home runs in four consecutive games dating back to Thursday (Apr. 18) when he hit three home runs in a doubleheader against the Rochester Warriors. Hampton added two more on Saturday against the Siena Heights Saints, improving his total to five in just four games. Despite Hampton's efforts at the plate, the Wolverines dropped all four games to the Saints this weekend.

Max McLennan was another catalyst for the Wolverine offense as he went 3-4 with three RBIs in an 11-6 loss in game one on Saturday. McLennan hit a three-run shot in the fourth to bring the Wolverines within one in a 7-6 ballgame. SHU would score four more times in the final three innings to take game one. In the nightcap, the Saints won a barnburner as the two teams combined for 32 runs. Four Wolverines recorded multiple RBIs with James Forner leading the way with four. Forner was 3-6 with a double and would add an RBI single and SAC fly. Matthew Williams was 2-5 with a 3-run home run and four runs scored.

The Saints overpowered the Wolverines on Sunday, outscoring them 35-6 and taking the series sweep. UM-Dearborn will take on Lourdes on Saturday (Apr. 27) to begin the final series of the season.
