No. 10 Wolverines Extend Unbeaten Streak to 15 Games

DEARBORN, Mich. -- In their first action since December 9th, the No. 10 University of Michigan-Dearborn (17-3-1) women's ice hockey team picked up right where they left off, taking a 4-0 victory over the Rhode Island Rams on Friday (Jan. 11). The Wolverines extended their unbeaten streak to 15 games thanks to two goals from Madison Schroeder

The game's first goal came in the 1st period, with Schroeder scoring in the 4th minute. In the 2nd period, UM-Dearborn continued their dominance with three goals, scored by Schroeder, Andi Evers, and Samantha Sensoli. The 3rd period saw no scoring from either team.

Rhode Island had a tough outing, with the team failing to score goals. Kaitlyn O'Brien, the goalie for Rhode Island, made an impressive 47 saves, but it wasn't enough to stop UM-Dearborn from scoring. The penalty summary showed that Rhode Island had four infractions that resulted in 8 minutes of penalty time, while UM-Dearborn had two infractions that resulted in 4 minutes of penalty time.

The Wolverines will wrap up the series with the Rams on Saturday (Jan. 12) at 3 pm.
