Cardinals Edge Wolverines With Big First Half

DEARBORN, Mich. — The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's basketball team returned to action Wednesday night, hosting the Concordia University Cardinals in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup.

The Wolverines kept the game within reach early, however, a late first-half run by the Cardinals aided them in building a double-digit lead at the break on their way to handing UM-Dearborn the defeat, 75-55. 

The Wolverines were led by the duo of Jackson Reynolds and Thomas Dillard IV. Reynolds led UM-Dearborn with 17 points, while Dillard IV added 16 points and a game-high eight rebounds. 

Joey Garwood led Concordia University with a game-high 22 points, while Javion McClendon added 20 points of his own.

The Wolverines return to action against the Aquinas College Saints at 3 pm Saturday at the Sturrus Sports and Fitness Center in Grand Rapids Mich.
