ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn (2-7-3, 1-4-2) men's ice hockey team made the trip on Friday (Oct. 13) to Concordia (MI) (1-9-4, 0-4-3) to take on the Cardinals in Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup. Two goals were scored in a three-minute contest, resulting in a 1-1 draw.

Both teams played a similar first 45 as each team tallied four shots, and the Wolverines recorded one more corner kick than the Cardinals. Neither team was able to score in the opening 45 as the teams headed into the locker room tied at zero.

The second-half saw both teams settle in as 17 shots were recorded in the second half 10 from the Cardinals and seven from the Wolverines. The scoring broke open in the 54th minute when the Cardinals scored an unassisted goal. Right from kickoff, the Wolverines would answer back as Andrew Schwartz set up Xavier Walser with a beautiful pass and slotted the ball into the back of the net.

Elijah Burlak preserved the Wolverines' point as he made six saves in the contest, giving the Wolverines the needed chances to hold on.
