Wolverines Downed by Warriors 76-48

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The University of Michigan-Dearborn (2-23, 1-18) women's basketball team struggled against the Indiana Tech Warriors (22-3, 19-0) on Wednesday (Feb. 14) at the Schaefer Center. The Warriors won the contest 76-48. 

The Warriors took an early 21-5 lead in a quarter where the Wolverines turned the ball over six times. The Wolverine offense came to life in the second period, shooting 46.7% from the field and making three triples, thanks to Desiree Jackson. The Wolverines trailed going into the half 44-23. 

Jackson led the Wolverines with 11 first-half points but was scoreless in the final 20. Maya Barakat found easier baskets in the second half, scoring 11 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the floor. The Warriors would outscore UM-Dearborn 32-25 in the second half to finish in the 76-48 final.
