Wolverines Drop Regular Season Opener

CHICAGO, Ill. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn (0-1-0) women's soccer team opened up their season on Saturday (Aug. 19) against the Saint Xavier University Cougars in the windy city. The Wolverines were outmatched in the contest registering just two shots on goal compared to 10 from the Cougars. SXU took the contest by a final score of 4-0. 

 

Amber Festian and Amelia Strochine split time between the posts as each goaltender played 45 minutes, making three saves apiece. Kyla Dusicksa and Brooke McClure tallied the only shots on goal of the game for the Wolverines. McClure, Dalya Dakroub, and Sam Kuszynski played all 90 minutes for the Wolverines in the regular season opener.
