Grissom Goes for 20 in Loss Against LTU

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn (1-5, 0-2) women's basketball team lost on the road on Tuesday (Nov. 21) in a WHAC matchup against the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils (2-3, 2-1). Despite leading at the half, the Wolverines lost 70-62. 

India Grissom led the Wolverines with 20 points and played all 40 minutes of the contest. Grissom shot 8-of-13 from the floor and was 1-of-3 from behind the arc. Maya Barakat was the only other Wolverine in double figures as she poured in 16 points and hauled in nine rebounds. 

UM-Dearborn led 30-29 going into the break but were outscored 24-12 in the third quarter as the Blue Devils caught fire from behind the arc. UM-Dearborn shot 25% in the quarter and scored six of their 12 points from the charity stripe. 

The Wolverines have the rest of the week off for Thanksgiving break before returning to action on Wednesday (Nov. 29) against the Concordia (MI) Cardinals.
