DEARBORN, Mich. – The 2019-20 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes were announced earlier this week with several University of Michigan-Dearborn student-athletes earning the annual honor.
The Wolverines totaled 40 NAIA Scholar-Athletes for 2019-20 with men's basketball and softball leading the way with six each. Women's soccer and men's cross country each added five. UM-Dearborn also earned 12 NAIA Scholar-Team honors announced earlier this week.
To receive NAIA Scholar-Athlete recognition, a student-athlete must hold a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade point average, have achieved junior status academically, and be enrolled at their institution for one year at the conclusion of the 2019-20 academic year.
Jenna Rogers set a new standard for UM-Dearborn with her fifth career NAIA Scholar-Athlete award. She has earned two for women's basketball and three for women's soccer in her career as a Wolverine.
