Softball with top GPA for second straight year

DEARBORN, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn Department of Athletics & Recreation is proud to announce that the Wolverine softball program is the Top Team GPA Award winner for the 2018-19 academic year.

The softball team won the award for the second straight year with a combined 3.22 grade point average, while the Wolverines carried a 3.03 GPA across all programs.

Eight UM-Dearborn student-athletes finished with a perfect 4.0 GPA for the year, including Dillon Beal (men's lacrosse), Yusuf Uzhunnan (men's soccer), Silas Johnson (men's ice hockey) and Sean McLaren (men's ice hockey), Audrey Asgarally (softball), Daniella Barile (volleyball), Jayci Forster (volleyball) and Victoria Hebda (women's cross country).

The honors had previously been awarded at the annual UM-Dearborn All-Sports Banquet, but with the new date for the event, final grades for the winter semester had not been posted.
