Wolverines Stumble Against #22 Indiana Tech

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The University of Michigan-Dearborn (6-6, 2-1) volleyball team went up against one of their toughest opponents to date on Friday (Sept. 15) as they traveled to the Schaefer Center to take on the #22 Indiana Tech Warriors (14-2, 4-0). The Warriors took the contest in straight sets.

The Wolverines struggled to get their offense going, as they managed just seven kills in 29 swings in the opening set. The Warriors were ready from the first serve and handled the first set 25-15. Things started to heat up in the second set. UM-Dearborn carried a 19-17 lead deep into the set, but the Warriors ended on a 8-3 run to carry a big advantage. 

 

The Warriors claimed the third set 25-19 and the match. Regan Sliwinski led the Wolverines with eight kills in 13 swings, while Brooke Wetherill tallied six blocks on the night.
