ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn (4-9, 0-6) lacrosse team faced off against one of the top teams in the nation in the Concordia (MI) Cardinals (12-1, 7-0). The Wolverines dropped the matchup 14-7 on Saturday (Apr. 15).

The Cardinals raced out to a 3-0 lead in the first quarter before Quest Bigelow ripped two unanswered goals to trim the Cardinal lead to one. However, CUAA would respond with four straight goals to take a commanding 7-2 lead. The Wolverines got one last goal before the half-time buzzer as Parker Steindl buried an unassisted goal.

Concordia would put the game out of reach in the third quarter as they scored five of the six goals in the third quarter, taking a 12-4 lead. However, UM-Dearborn showed some promise in the fourth quarter as Steindl tickled the twine off a Joseph Atherall assist on the man advantage. Ryan Savage would get onto the scoresheet less than two minutes later as he scored an unassisted goal to make it 13-6 Cardinals. Steindl would get his hat-trick with 1:52 to play as the Wolverines scored again on the man advantage. Joseph Atherall provided the assist on the play.
