DEARBORN, Mich. -- With a chance to play in Sunday's championship, the University of Michigan-Dearborn and the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils needed additional time to decide who would square off against Indiana Tech on Sunday. Despite the extraordinary efforts from both netminders, Lawrence Tech took the contest, winning 1-0 in overtime.

Michigan-Dearborn had a strong showing, with Drew Adams making several key saves throughout the game. Despite his efforts, Lawrence Tech got one past him, with Sean Pilet scoring the game-winning goal. Brett Tome of Lawrence Tech also had a standout performance, making 42 saves and earning the game's first star.

On the UM-Dearborn side, Bailey Byrd, Quest Bigelow, and Max Hartwell all had several shots on goal but could not find the back of the net. Despite outshooting the Blue Devils 42-30, UM-Dearborn failed to capitalize on their three power-play chances.

The game saw a relatively low number of penalties, with Keegan Rundle of Lawrence Tech serving a two-minute minor for holding in the second period and Sean Pilet serving a two-minute minor for tripping in the third. Thimo Ey of Lawrence Tech also served a two-minute minor for too many men on the ice in OT.

The Wolverines conclude their season with a 20-12-0 record.
