ANN ARBOR, Mich. --  Entering their first semifinal game in program history, the University of Michigan-Dearborn lacrosse team took on the top-seeded Concordia Cardinals in the WHAC Semifinal on Thursday (Apr. 26). The Wolverines dropped the contest 16-7, concluding their season with a 6-10 record.

The Cardinals opened the game with three consecutive goals before the Wolverines got on the board with a Jeremy Fancett goal at the 7:26 mark. CUAA responded with two more goals, making it 5-1 after the first stanza.

The Cardinals made it 8-1 before Fancett scored on the man advantage to make it 8-2 going into the break.

Concordia would outscore the Wolverines 8-5 over the final two quarters to put the game out of reach. Still, with 21 seconds left, Nolan Kelley would break the goals record for UM-Dearborn after breaking the points record the game prior. Kelley scored the unassisted marker at the tail end of the quarter to conclude the Cardinals' 16-7 victory.
