DEARBORN, Mich. – With a spot in the WHAC Tournament Quarterfinals, the University of Michigan-Dearborn (13-15, 9-10) volleyball team is looking to improve their seeding for the upcoming tournament. The Wolverines welcomed the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils (12-11, 10-9) to the Fieldhouse on Wednesday (Nov. 1), who carried a two-game cushion over UM-Dearborn with two games up for grabs.

The Wolverine attack was solid all night as it consisted of two main threats. Sydney Eggleton and Kielee Tondryk accounted for 62% of the Wolverines' kills on the night. Eggleton and Tondryk each tallied 19 kills and exactly 20 points for the Maize & Blue. The duo gave LTU trouble all night as they each had a kill percentage of .295 or above.

The efforts of Tondryk and Eggleton saw the Wolverines deliver a 3-1 (19-25, 26-24, 25-13, 25-21) victory over the Blue Devils. The Wolverines fell apart in the first set after carrying an early 10-6 lead. However, the Wolverine would convincingly win the next three sets.

The Wolverines recorded 11 aces as a team, with sisters Zoey and Kenzie Mertz each recording three. Regan Rose recorded a double-double, dishing out 43 assists and 10 digs for the Maize & Blue. Kenzie Mertz tied for a game-high in digs with 21, while Brooke Wetherill tallied five assisted blocks.

The Wolverines conclude their regular season on Saturday (Nov. 4) against Cornerstone on Senior Day.
