DEARBORN, Mich. -- The University of Michigan-Dearborn (3-7-3, 2-4-2) men's soccer team looked to get back to their winning ways against the Rochester Warriors (3-8-2, 1-6-1) on Wednesday (Oct. 18) night at Star International Academy.

The Wolverines came out looking to set the tone in the opening 10 minutes, and they capitalized on that. Noah Carmona scored an unassisted goal in the 10th minute to give the Wolverines the early advantage, and they would not look back. Four minutes later, Josiah Yoder took advantage of the Warriors' shaky passing out of the back line and tapped in a straightforward chance off of a wayward turnover inside the 18.

Freshman Jack Rogers made the start in the net and utilized his aggressive style of goalkeeper to fend off any crucial chances from the Warriors. In total, Rogers made four saves but punched away countless 50/50 balls inside the scoring area.

The Wolverine's offensive outburst saw them head into the locker room, winning 2-0.

The Warriors were looking to get one in the second 45, playing a high line with their back four. The Wolverines added a bit of insurance as they took advantage of the Warriors pushing forward. Xavier Walser found Christian Cole right on the edge of the 18-yard box, and Cole slotted the ball into the bottom right corner to put the Warriors away for good.
