Grissom Nets Season-High In Loss Against Indiana Tech

DEARBORN, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's basketball (1-12, 0-7) faced off against the Indiana Tech Warriors (10-3, 7-0) in a highly competitive match. The game started with a lot of energy, and both teams were neck and neck throughout the first quarter. However, Indiana Tech gained a lead in the second quarter and maintained that lead throughout the rest of the game. 

UM-Dearborn played well and gave their opponents a tough fight. India Grissom had an outstanding game, scoring 22 points and grabbing six rebounds. Maya Barakat also played a solid game, scoring 13 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. 

On the other hand, Indiana Tech played an excellent game, with five of their players scoring in double figures. Erika Foy was the standout player for Indiana Tech, scoring 21 points and grabbing five rebounds. Korryn Smith and Juliana Burris also played well, scoring 17 and 12 points respectively.

Indiana Tech maintained a lead throughout the game, thanks to their excellent shooting. They shot 55.9% from the field, 66.7% from beyond the arc, and 83.3% from the free-throw line. The University of Michigan-Dearborn, on the other hand, the Wolverines had one of their better shooting nights; however, they could not get crucial baskets to fall to keep the contest close. UM-Dearborn shot 50% from the field, 38.1% from beyond the arc, and 60% from the free-throw line. 

The Wolverines are back in action on Saturday (Jan. 6) as they take on Aquinas at the Fieldhouse. Tip-off is set for 1 pm.
