Wolverines Edged Out by SCAD Savannah

MARIETTA, Ga. -- The University of Michigan-Dearborn took on SCAD Savannah on Sunday (Feb. 25). The matchup was closely contested, playing out identically to the two teams' last meeting in 2023. The Bees weathered an early storm from the Wolverines, winning 11-10. 

After the Bees scored the game's opening goal, the Wolverines rattled off four straight goals, Two coming from Nolan Kelley, who now has 16 after a four-goal performance on Sunday. Braxton Kern and Quest Bigelow each recorded goals during the early onslaught. The Bees would score five unanswered goals to end the period with a 6-4 lead. 

 

Both teams would trade goals in the second as the Bees went into the break with an 8-6 lead. The Wolverines rattled off three early goals in the opening minutes of the 3rd quarter but the Bees responded again with three of their own. 

 

Down 11-9 heading into the final stanza, the Wolverines saw their comeback fall just short after Kelley's goal at the 3:48 mark was the lone goal of the quarter. 

 

Kelley led the Wolverines with four goals, while Garrett Kern added two. Ryan Savage, Cole Rosenwald, and Brodie Mahmud each recorded multiple points for the Maize & Blue.
