DEARBORN, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn (7-3-0) women's ice hockey team completed a sweep of the Niagara Purple Eagles (2-3-1) on Saturday (Oct. 28). The Wolverines scored in every period en route to a 3-1 victory at the UM-Dearborn Ice Arena.

10 minutes into the first period, the Wolverines pinned the Purple Eagles in their defensive zone and peppered the opposing netminder with shots. Zoe Zaifman crashed on the net after the Purple Eagle and flipped in a loose puck for the game's first goal. Zaifman would score again in the second period as Cadence Pero threw a puck into the net. The Purple Eagles could not corral the puck, and Zaifman was there to clean it up for her second goal of the year.

After the Wolverines went to the penalty box for a hooking minor, the Purple Eagles would score on the powerplay after a puck took a tricky deflection off of a Wolverine to make it 2-1 at the end of two.

The Wolverines would not be denied as they scored the lone goal in the third after the forward trio of Sensoli, Schroeder, and Keledjian would create more magic. The Wolverines just killed off a power play from the Purple Eagles and caught them making a change as Sensoli held the puck behind their own net. Sensoli found Schroeder up the right wing with nobody around her, and Schroeder carried it through the neutral zone and ripped one past the netminder's blocker to seal the Wolverines' victory.
