Wolverines Drop High-Scoring Affair Against Kalamazoo College

DEARBORN, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn (1-3-1) men's soccer team welcome NCAA Division III opponent Kalamazoo College (4-3-0) to Star International Academy on Saturday (Sept. 16). Despite five total goals being scored between the two teams, the Wolverines ended up on the losing end of the contest losing 3-2. 

 

 John Rogers would get the Wolverines on the board late in the first half as they were trailing the Hornets 1-0. Rogers and Austin Dukes would connect in the 39th minute to keep both teams knotted at one heading into the locker room. 

 

Kalamazoo College would score two unanswered goals coming out of the locker room to take a 3-1 lead in the 55th minute. 14 seconds later, the Wolverines would get one back as Dukes tallied his second assist of the game, this time, finding the boot of Andrew Schwartz to make it 3-2 Hornets. 

 

The Wolverines continued to add pressure to the Hornets, outshooting them 4-2 in the second half but were unable to equalize in the final 35 minutes, resulting in a 3-2 loss.
