Wolverines Drop Road Matchup Against Concordia (MI)

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Maya Barakat continued her strong season for the University of Michigan-Dearborn (1-6, 0-3) women's basketball team, scoring double digits for the fifth time in seven games. Barakat has scored 20 or more points in three games this season, leading the team with 14.3 points per game. Unfortunately, despite Barakat's efforts, the Wolverines lost 67-51 against the Concordia University Cardinals (5-2, 4-0). 

Barakat led the Wolverines, shooting 9-of-16 from the field, and hauled in 11 rebounds to secure a double-double. India Grissom played all 40 minutes for the Wolverines and tallied 11 points. As a team, the Wolverines shot 39.6% from the field and 16.7% from behind the arc. UM-Dearborn turned the ball over 17 times, resulting in 14 Cardinal points. 

The Wolverines are back in action on Saturday (Dec. 2) against Madonna at the Fieldhouse. Tip-off is set for 1 pm.
