Wolverines battle back, but lose in final seconds 84-83

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's basketball team returned to action against the Aquinas College Saints in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup.

The Wolverines saw Aquinas take a 14-point lead into the half, however, they would bounce back with a 12-0 run to get back into the game. The two squads would trade leads in the second half, but an Aquinas three-pointer made with four seconds left in the game handed UM-Dearborn the heartbreaking 84-83 defeat. 

The Wolverines were led by Troy Campbell, who finished with a game-high 28 points. Jackson Reynolds added 22 points of his own, while Collin Miller chipped in with 17 points and a game-high eight rebounds.

The Saints rely on four scorers in double-digits with Donovan Brown-Boyd leading the way with 23 points.

The Wolverines are back in action against the Indian Tech Warriors at 8 pm Wednesday, February 14th in Fort Wayne, Ind.
