DETROIT, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn (4-31, 4-20) baseball team waited out the weather on a chilly day at Harwell-Spicer field. 28 combined runs were scored in a single seven-inning game against the Concordia (MI) Cardinals (36-5, 19-4) on Saturday (Apr. 22). Ultimately, the Cardinals took the contest 17-11 on senior day.

However, the Wolverines would answer in the bottom half of the inning as Matthew Balash grounded out to first to score Max McLennan. The next batter, Max Tomaszewski, laced a line drive to the gap to clear the bases on a two-RBI triple to make it 6-3.

Down 9-3 after the top of the second, the Wolverines loaded the bases for Evan Morin, who dribbled a grounder to third base who sailed it over the first basemen's head, allowing two runners to score on the play. However, Matthew Williams grounded out to on the next play to trim the Cardinal lead to 9-6.

CUAA scored six unanswered runs in the third and fourth inning to take a 15-6 run. Looking to get back in the game, the Wolverines put runners on first and second in the fourth. Williams stepped up to the dish and laced a line drive triple into the right-centerfield gap to score Morin and McLennan.

The Wolverines would add three more runs in the sixth and seventh to culminate in a 17-11 final.
