Wolverines Outlast Redhawks 91-86

ROCHESTER, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn (2-2) men's basketball team defeated the Indiana Northwest Redhawks (2-2) 91-86 on Saturday (Nov. 11) in the conclusion of the Tim Hortons Classic hosted by Rochester University. 

All five Wolverine starters scored in double figures as each member of the starting five played 35+ minutes. Jimmy Breaux led the Wolverines in scoring as he shot 50% from the floor on 12 attempts and was 8-10 from the charity stripe. Breaux did a bit of everything, registering a stat in all five stat categories. 

Joshua Warren continued his strong stretch to open his career as he shot 7-of-15 from the field and 5-of-6 from the free-throw line. Warren hauled in seven rebounds and dished out two assists. Troy Campbell and Jackson Reynolds had similar afternoons as they each connected on six field goals and made three triples to record 17 points. Reynolds had a team-high six assists for the Wolverines, while Campbell tallied five. 

Yassin Mohamed had his best game of the season as he scored 13 points and had a team-high nine rebounds in 37 minutes of work. 

The Wolverines travel to play NCAA Division II opponent Hillsdale College in an exhibition contest on Thursday (Nov. 16). Tip-off is set for 7 pm.
