LIVONIA, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn volleyball team entered the WHAC Conference Tournament as the fifth seed, going up against a familiar foe in fourth-seeded Madonna. The Wolverines took on the Crusaders in last season's WHAC Quarterfinals and looked to alter the outcome in this season's matchup.

The Wolverines sported an early 13-4 lead in the first set off the back of early errors from the Crusaders. The Wolverines forced the Crusaders into a timeout, and the wheels began to fall off as the Crusaders rattled off eight consecutive points to make it 13-12. The Crusaders continued to chip away and eventually took the first set 25-23.

The two teams traded the lead in a close second set, with neither team generating more than a three-point lead until Madonna took a 20-16 lead late in the set. The Wolverines responded with three consecutive points, forcing the Crusaders into a timeout at 20-19.  Madonna would rally to take the second set 25-22.

Madonna pulled away in the third set, and the Wolverines had no response as the Crusaders ended the Wolverines season again in the WHAC Quarterfinals. The Wolverines fell 3-0 and lost all three games against the Crusaders this season.
