The University of Michigan-Dearborn Player of the Week is women’s basketball guard Ro’Zhane Wells, it was announced Wednesday.
Wells led the Wolverines to two wins at “The Show” NAIA Showcase this past weekend against Indiana University-East and the University of Rio Grande in Kingsport, Tenn.
The junior guard put up 14 points, six rebounds and four assists against IU-East Saturday as UM-Dearborn cruised to a 75-60 victory. Wells followed up on Sunday with a career-high 22 points to go along with eight rebounds and five assists as the Wolverines edged the University of Rio Grande, 78-75.
The Ypsilanti, Mich., native is averaging 12.2 points 5.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game.
The Wolverines return to action as they host Lourdes University at 5:30 pm Wednesday at the UM-Dearborn Fieldhouse.
