Claudia Maguire, Women's Ice Hockey, 10/23/2019

The University of Michigan-Dearborn Player of the Week is women’s ice hockey forward Claudia Maguire, it was announced Wednesday.

The UM-Dearborn women’s ice hockey team opened its first season in program history with two wins by defeating Concordia University 12-0 and Ohio State University 8-2, both on the road over the last two weeks.

In the win over Concordia, the Wolverines were led by Claudia Maguire, who recorded two goals and three assists and then followed it up with a hat trick and an assist in the win over OSU.

The Ann Arbor, Mich., native currently leads the team in points with nine. Maguire is also a member of the UM-Dearborn women’s soccer team.

The honor is the first for Maguire and the first-ever for the women’s ice hockey team.

The Wolverines host a game for the first time in program history when they welcome OSU at 1 pm on Sunday at the UM-Dearborn Ice Arena.
