Wolverines take WHAC Player of the Week awards

DEARBORN, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's ice hockey team swept the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference weekly awards after three wins over Lawrence Tech last week, it was announced Monday.

Nic LaBurn earned his first WHAC Offensive Player of the Week honor with five goals and three assists in the Wolverine sweep. LaBurn is the third different Wolverine to claim the honor this season.

Thomas Proudlock continued to pile up his weekly awards with his seventh WHAC Defensive Player of the Week honor after three wins over the Blue Devils. He made 64 saves in the series, allowing two goals per game.

The Wolverines return to action with two games against Cleary University starting at 7 pm Friday at the UM-Dearborn Ice Arena.
