Wolverines cruise to 11-2 win at Cleary

HARTLAND, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's ice hockey team cruised to win and series sweep of Cleary University Saturday at the Hartland Sports Arena in Hartland, Mich.

The No. 3 Wolverines finished with 75 total shots, including 42 in the third period, while scoring six times in the final 20 minutes en route to an 11-2 victory. The win is the eighth straight for the Wolverines and moves the team to 11-1-1 overall.

Mathieu LaForest finished with a hat trick for the Wolverines, scoring the final two goals of the game late in the third. Jared Lee added two goals in the first period, while Justin Dunn finished with two goals and four assists. Nic LaBurn recorded a goal and a team-high five assists.

Silas Johnson, Dawson Richard and Sterling Cooper each added a goal, while Thomas Proudlock made 12 saves in the win.

The Wolverines return home to take on Rochester University in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference contest at 7 pm Friday at the UM-Dearborn Ice Arena.
