Proudlock makes it four for four WHAC awards

DEARBORN, Mich. – For the fourth time in four weeks, University of Michigan-Dearborn men's ice hockey senior goaltender Thomas Proudlock has earned a weekly award, it was announced Monday.

With two more impressive games in net for the No. 5 Wolverines, Proudlock secured his fourth consecutive Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week award to open his final year with UM-Dearborn. The award is the ninth of his career.

The Wolverines moved to 6-1-1 overall and 5-1-0 in the WHAC with a home-and-home series sweep of Aquinas College over the weekend, topping the Saints 6-1 at home on Friday and 7-3 on Saturday in Byron Center, Mich.

Proudlock made 66 saves in the two games, allowing just four goals. His save percentage this season is .953 through eight games while allowing just 1.38 goals per game.

The Wolverines step out of league play for two games at No. 6 Ohio University starting at 7:30 pm Friday in Athens, Ohio.
