Proudlock takes second straight WHAC honor

DEARBORN, Mich. – For the second consecutive week, UM-Dearborn senior goaltender Thomas Proudlock has been named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced by the league on Monday.

Proudlock shutout Concordia University on back-to-back nights in the first WHAC series of the season to earn the honor for the second time in two weeks and the sixth time in his career. He stopped 13 shots in the opener against the Cardinals on Friday and 24 more in the series finale on the road Saturday.

Through four games this season, Proudlock is 3-0-1 with a 0.75 goals-against average, making 25.5 saves per game and stopping 97 percent of shots faced.

The Wolverines continue WHAC play against rival and No. 22-ranked Indiana Tech in a two-game series starting at 7:30 pm Friday in Fort Wayne, Ind.
