UM-Dearborn scores 11 in win over Cleary

DEARBORN, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's ice hockey team completed a series and a season sweep of ACHA newcomer Cleary University Saturday at the UM-Dearborn Ice Arena.

The Wolverines scored five in the second to pull away for an 11-3 win over the Cougars, moving to 23-6-2 overall this season.

Dakota Potter finished with the first hat trick of his career with three goals while adding an assist for a four-point night. Brendan West extended his goal-scoring streak to five games with two goals and two assists.

Justin Dunn, Kyle Schnettler, Anthony Davis, Billy Brock Mikhail Khudenko and Nic LaBurn each added one goal, while Brock finished with a team-high three assists.

UM-Dearborn outshot the Cougars 58-20, as Kayden Pickles got the start in net for the Wolverines and made 17 saves in the win.

The Wolverines play the final home game of the season against Rochester University on Ben McPartlin Night at 7 pm Friday at the UM-Dearborn Ice Arena. A sweep of Rochester will give the Wolverines a second straight WHAC regular-season title.
