No. 5 Wolverines record 78 shots in win

DEARBORN, Mich. – The No. 5 University of Michigan-Dearborn men's ice hockey team put 78 shots on net in a win over Concordia University in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference contest Friday at the UM-Dearborn Ice Arena.

The Wolverines scored eight goals in the second period on their way to a 13-1 win over the Cardinals. The victory moves UM-Dearborn to 14-3-1 overall and 9-1 in the WHAC.

Billy Brock got the New Year started off strong with an eight-point night, scoring four goals and adding four assists. In his UM-Dearborn debut, Brendan West scored two goals, including one less than two minutes into regulation, while adding four assists.

Anthony Davis finished the night with five points, scoring twice and adding two assists. Silas Johnson, Dawson Richard, Jared Lee, Kyle Schnettler, and Dakota Potter each added a goal for the Wolverines, while Sean McLaren recorded two assists.

Thomas Proudlock got the win in net with four saves in two periods, while Eric Polzin made four saves in the third in relief.

The Wolverines close the season series with the Cardinals at 9 pm Saturday at the Arctic Coliseum in Chelsea, Mich.
