Wolverines Drop 5-1 Decision Against No. 12 Indiana Tech

DEARBORN, Mich.- The University of Michigan- Dearborn Men's Hockey team played game two of the home-and-home series against the Indiana Tech Warriors on Saturday (Dec. 7). The Wolverines lost the second game of the series in a very aggressive game, with a final score of 5-1.

Both the Wolverines and the Warriors came out aggressive, hitting and battling to every puck in the first two periods; however, both first and second would end in scoreless periods. Coming out in the third, the Warriors would score first and go up early in the third, 1-0. This would not be the end of the scoring from the Warriors scoring the next two and going up 3-0 halfway through the third period. However, hope was not lost for the Wolverines as Joey Cibor got them on the board and put them down only two with seven minutes left in the third.

The Wolverines battled and fired shot after shot at the Warriors' goalie but couldn't find the back of the net. This would be the only goal the Wolverines scored, as the Warriors would go on to score two empty-net goals to give them a 5-1 lead and the win.

The Wolverines head into their winter break with a 9-11 record and are back in action following the new year against the Adrian Bulldogs on Jan. 12.
