Third straight WHAC award for Proudlock

DEARBORN, Mich. – For the third consecutive week to open the 2019-20 season, senior goaltender Thomas Proudlock has been named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the University of Michigan-Dearborn men's ice hockey team, it was announced Monday.  

Proudlock led the No. 4 Wolverines to a split against No. 18 Indiana Tech over the weekend on the road, making 53 total saves and allowing four goals. The WHAC honor is the third in 2019-20 and eighth of his career with five a season ago.

The Southgate, Mich., native has played every minute for the Wolverines in net this season and holds a record of 4-1-1. He is allowing 1.17 goals per game while making 155 total saves and holding a .957 save percentage.

The Wolverines continue WHAC play against Aquinas College at 7 pm Friday at the UM-Dearborn Ice Arena.
