Proudlock takes sixth WHAC Player of the Week

DEARBORN, Mich. – For the sixth time this season, University of Michigan-Dearborn men's ice hockey senior goaltender Thomas Proudlock has been named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced Monday.

Proudlock backstopped the No. 5 Wolverines to a 1-1-1 week against ranked opponents. He made 143 total saves, playing every minute for UM-Dearborn, including 65 saves in a loss to No. 19 Aquinas College on Saturday.

The Southgate, Mich., native made 40 saves in a 2-2 tie against No. 10 Stony Brook on Monday while adding 38 saves in a 4-2 win at Aquinas on Friday.

In 23 games this season, Proudlock has made a total of 658 saves, recording a .929 save percentage and 2.22 goals-against average.

With his sixth honor this season, Proudlock has 12 in his career after totaling six as a junior (the award started with the 2018-19 season).
