DEARBORN, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's ice hockey team has won nine straight games dating back to the first weekend of the season, picking up the biggest victory of the campaign on Nov. 20 over No. 3 Adrian College on the road.
For their efforts in the 5-3 win for the No. 2 Wolverines, junior forward Justin Dunn and junior goaltender Thomas Proudlock earned weekly conference awards, it was announced on Tuesday.
Dunn scored two goals, including the game-winner for the Wolverines against Adrian, and for the first time in his career, was named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week. Dunn has six goals and 10 assists this season.
Proudlock earned his second consecutive WHAC Defensive Player of the Week, making 45 saves for UM-Dearborn, winning his ninth game in net this season.
The Wolverines return to WHAC action against Aquinas College at 7 pm Friday at the UM-Dearborn Fieldhouse.
