Brock named WHAC Player of the Week

DEARBORN, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's ice hockey team cruised to a series sweep over Illinois State University last weekend at the UM-Dearborn Ice Arena.

Sophomore Billy Brock led the Wolverine offense, scoring four goals in game two while finishing the weekend with four total assists and eight points. For his efforts, Brock has been named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced by the conference on Tuesday.

The award is the first for Brock and the first for any Wolverine since the honor was adopted by the WHAC earlier this season.

The Woodhaven, Mich., native leads the team with 19 points through seven games, including seven goals and 13 assists.

The No. 11 Wolverines (6-1-0) have won five straight games and host the University of Utah at 7 pm Saturday at the UM-Dearborn Ice Arena.
