UM-Dearborn wins at CUAA, stays perfect in WHAC

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's basketball team continued its strong open to the 2019-20 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference season with a road win at Concordia University Tuesday in Ann Arbor, Mich.

The Wolverines opened the game on a 17-2 run. After the Cardinals closed it to a three-point UM-Dearborn lead at the half, the Wolverines used a 20-4 run at the start of the second half to pull away for a 72-59 win.

The victory is the third straight for the Wolverines, pushing UM-Dearborn to 9-2 overall and 3-0 in the WHAC.

Jason Gigliotti led the Wolverines with 23 points on 9-of-11 shooting while adding eight rebounds. Cody Kegley finished with a double-double, including 13 points and 10 rebounds, while Donovan Farrell added 16 points. Zach Lattimer finished with 11 points and Jalen Paul added a team-high six assists.

The Wolverines shot 27-of-55 from the field, 6-of-17 from deep and 12-of-21 from the line.

Concordia was led by 21 points from Jerald Booker.

The Wolverines have a week off before hosting Lourdes University at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at the UM-Dearborn Fieldhouse.
