GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's basketball team closed the most successful season in program history, one win shy of the Wolverine-Hoosier Ahtletic Conference Postseason Tournament title game, falling to No. 2 Cornerstone University in the semifinals Saturday in Grand Rapids, Mich.

The Wolverines used the deep ball to nearly erase an early 15-point hole to trail by just four at the break, but the Golden Eagles took control midway through the second half and held on for a 79-70 win.

The loss ends UM-Dearborn's season at 20-12, giving the team the most wins in program history, eclipsing the previous mark of 13, which was set twice.

Cody Kegley (FR/Yale, MI) got the start for the Wolverines and recorded a career-high 20 points, including four 3-pointers. Kegley, who was named to the WHAC All-Freshman Team earlier in the week, hit three from deep in the first half to hold the Wolverines in the game.

Jason Penn (JR/Detroit, MI) poured in 19 points on 8-of-16 shooting, while adding six rebounds. Ashton Curd (JR/Detroit, MI) came off the bench to add 14 points and six rebounds. The game was the last for seniors Marcus Williams (SR/Lagos, Nigeria) and Jeff Cain (SR/Lansing, MI ), as Williams closed his prolific two-year career with 955 points.

The Wolverines shot 27-of-63 from the field, 7-of-21 from deep and 9-of-11 from the line.

Michael Bradshaw led the Golden Eagles off the bench with 20 points, including six 3-pointers. Cornerstone won the rebounding battle 38-28.
