No. 13 Warriors run away from Wolverines

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's basketball team concluded the first half of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference season against No. 13 Indiana Tech Wednesday in Fort Wayne, Ind.

The Warriors outscored the Wolverines by 15 in the second quarter to take control as Indiana Tech went on for a 78-42 victory. The loss drops UM-Dearborn to 11-9 overall and 4-6 in the WHAC.

Mariah Taylor led the Wolverines with 11 points, while Maricela Macias scored 10 points off the bench, to go along with five rebounds. Ro'Zhane Wells finished with nine points, five rebounds, and three assists.

The Wolverines shot 15-of-62 from the field, 5-of-26 from deep and 7-of-11 from the line.

DeAnn Kauffman led the Warriors with 22 points and nine rebounds.

UM-Dearborn has a week off before traveling to Aquinas College at 5:30 pm next Wednesday in Grand Rapids, Mich.
