Wolverines top Red Wolves 75-60 at "The Show"

KINGSPORT, Tenn. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's basketball team opened play at "The Show" NAIA Showcase against Indiana University-East Saturday in Kingsport, Tenn.

The Wolverines took an early lead against the Red Wolves and never trailed, as the UM-Dearborn defense totaled 10 blocks in a 75-60 win to move to 6-4 overall this season.

Maricela Macias led the Wolverines with 23 points on 9-of-14 shooting off the bench. She made a team-high three 3-pointers.

Ro'Zhane Wells finished with 14 points and four assists, while Lauryn Carroll added 13 points. Mariah Taylor recorded 11 points, as Jasia Caldwell added six points, nine rebounds and three blocks.

The Wolverines shot 27-of-64 from the field, 7-of-22 from deep and 14-of-20 from the line.

The Red Wolves were led by a game-high 27 points from Addie Brown.

UM-Dearborn closes play at "The Show" against the University of Rio Grande at 4:15 pm Sunday in Kingsport, Tenn.
