Bench leads Wolverines in win at Spring Arbor

SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's basketball team played its final game of the calendar year, traveling to Spring Arbor University for a nonconference matchup Saturday in Spring Arbor, Mich.

The Wolverines led by 10 after the first and cruised to a 64-48 win. The victory pushes UM-Dearborn to 10-6 overall this season.

UM-Dearborn was led by its bench, including 20 points on 7-of-12 shooting by Mariah Taylor, who hit five 3-pointers in the win. Sade Lemons added 15 points, while Rachel Bause recorded eight points and 15 rebounds.

The Wolverines shot 22-of-56 from the field, 10-of29 from deep and 10-of-14 from the line.

Spring Arbor was led by 22 points from Gracie Cabana.

The Wolverines return to action after the New Year against Siena Heights University at 1 pm on Saturday, Jan. 4 at the UM-Dearborn Fieldhouse.
