Wolverines Receive All-WHAC Honors

DEARBORN, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's basketball team completed the most successful regular season in program history, as the Wolverines head into the postseason with a record of 24-6 overall.

UM-Dearborn (RV) picked up several postseason honors from the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference, it was announced Wednesday.

Sophomore Ro'Zhane Wells was named to the All-WHAC First Team and Defensive Team in her first season with the Wolverines. She closed the regular season averaging 10.9 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game. Wells has also recorded 54 steals and 18 blocks while starting all 30 games this season at the point guard position.

Junior Sade Lemons was named to the All-WHAC First Team. She leads the Wolverines with 13.9 points per game and has hit a team-high 74 shots from 3-point range. Lemons has added 3.1 rebounds per game and 37 steals for UM-Dearborn. She was named to the All-WHAC Second Team a year ago.

Junior Jeorgia Jones earned All-WHAC Second Team honors, as she has averaged 10.4 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. Jones also has 40 steals and 16 blocks this season. She was named to the All-WHAC Freshman Team in 2016-17.

Other awards for the Wolverines included seniors Jenna Rogers and Micah White being named to the WHAC All-Academic Team, while Rogers was earning the team's WHAC Champions of Character Team representative.

The Wolverines open the 2019 WHAC Postseason Tournament against Rochester College at 7 pm Wednesday at the UM-Dearborn Fieldhouse.
